Description

Federal legislation: Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, P.L. 115-44, further strengthened existing legislative sanctions authorities to combat forced labour and slavery overseas of North Koreans and established a rebuttable presumption that certain significant goods produced or manufactured via North Korean labour are subject to U.S. entry prohibitions. Various publications from the Department of State and the Treasury Department have provided program specific documents related to CAATSA.
