Description

This report maps out ethical public procurement initiatives across the European Union and European Economic Area countries. The report identifies specific pressure points, strategies, and ethical public procurement initiatives implemented across Europe, as well as identifying existing challenges arising from these. Recommendations for improving working conditions in public procurement supply chains are presented. The report identifies that ethical public procurement is defined by various stakeholders in several ways. It appears that this term is not so widely used and is more commonly known as Socially Responsible Public Procurement.

Description

The aim of these guidelines is to provide a clarification for the Swedish regions and what to expect from their suppliers, in regards to social and environmental responsibilities. It provides explanatory notes on sustainable supply chains’ contractual terms and highlights the steps that a supplier needs to take in order to meet certain conditions. The guidelines are also intended for procurers who will be creating and following the requirements.
