The National Action Plan was developed to inc= orporate the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights into practi= cal action at national level. The plan responds to the European Commission= =E2=80=99s request that Member States draw up national action plans in this= area. The Action Plan is also an important part of the government=E2=80=99= s heightened ambitions for foreign trade, through the export strategy, CSR = and other areas. It is an equally important part of the government=E2=80=99= s relaunch of its Policy for Global Development and its efforts to contribu= te to the new global sustainable development goals. The Action Plan has bee= n developed by the government in consultation with various stakeholders. The supply chains topic is discussed in the sections on the state duty = to protect human rights and measures already taken in the field of business= and human rights. |
