The policy was developed by the Chilean Social Responsibility Council for Sustainable Development, which was composed of representatives from both public and private sectors. One of the actions of the National Action Plan is to prevent forced labour resulting from debt-bondage, human trafficking or any other coercive means depriving employees to freely leave the workplace. The document emphasizes the obligation of the government to protect human rights in order to achieve sustainable economic development. |
