This Action Plan details policy priority area= s that the Kenyan government will focus on between 2019 and 2024 in a bid t= o ensure that all businesses, including state owned enterprises, respect hu= man rights. The National Action Plan incorporates the UN Guiding Principles= on Business and Human Rights and focuses on five thematic issues identifie= d by stakeholders, namely: Land and Natural Resources; labour rights; reven= ue transparency; environmental protection; and access to remedy. It outline= s concrete commitments by the government for addressing adverse business-re= lated human rights impacts under these themes. It does not create new oblig= ations but restates those already recognised under the Constitution. |
